How much copy would you say is *too* much on a webpage?

This is one of those annoying little questions that constantly comes up despite not having a definitive answer.

And if you've ever second guessed yourself while staring at that one paragraph that just feels a tad too long, you know how confounding it can be.

Whenever I'm worried about copy getting too long, there's a simple principle I fall back on that helps me decide when it's worth keeping that extra sentence (or ruthlessly cutting it).

I was reminded of it recently while cancelling a subscription of all things, so I recorded a quick video walking you through the cancellation flow and how the principle works.
